Meskel Crowe, CEO
Meskel is the CEO of HHD. She earned her Bachelors degree from Mercer University in Human Resources and established HHD in 2013. She has many resources to help deaf people find homes, and has a passion to teach them life skills, English skills and job skills so they can earn employment and be independant. She lives in Henry County with her husband Nathan and her 2 children Jequel and Mekiah.
Ryan is our treasurer. He has worked for an accounting firm for several years and travel all over the country for his business. He has been taking sign language classes and is very enthusiastic about being with the Deaf community and helping with the finances of HHD. He is married with one daughter also named Ryan and lives in Henry county.
Susan Byrd is our Assistant Treasurer. She is a member of the Deaf community. She went through the public school system without an interpreter she graduated from high school. At 21 she learned American Sign Language and is fluent in the language as if it was her first language. She is a loyal wife and mom. She is also involved with the Deaf Ministry at Henry Baptist Church. She has also been helping HHD for years.
Susan is the Secretary for HHD. She is a nationally certified interpreter with RID and is an independent contractor with interpreting agencies in the metro Atlanta area. She has the gift of encouragement and loves to plan parties. She is married with 4 children and lives in Henry County.
Janice retired from teaching for the Henry County Public Schools in 2014, where she taught Science for 40 years. She started learning ASL about 37 years ago. She now teaches ASL at the Henry County Senior Centers in McDonough, Hampton and Stockbridge. Janice also teaches ASL for His Master’s Voice Home School Group. She lives here in Henry County and is a member of Henry Baptist Church where she teaches ASL on Sunday afternoons and works with the Deaf Ministry.
